  • Alexandra

    Volunteer: Alexandra

My name is Alexandra, and I'm currently pursuing a Master of Marketing.

I'm thrilled to join the wellbeing team because I find the topics not only fascinating but also incredibly enjoyable.

While my academic focus is on marketing, I'm genuinely interested in wellbeing and excited to contribute to the team's efforts.

  • Anisha

    Volunteer: Anisha

My name is Anisha Bhargava. I am pursuing a Master of International Management.

I live by To Kill A Mockingbird  quote, ‘You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view, until you climb into his skin and walk around in it,’ because I’m convinced that the world needs more empathy for it to be a better place — and wellbeing often begins with listening to ourselves and the people around.

When not studying or tackling chores, I travel and often writing poems and short stories, and hoarding books, cute diaries and teacups.

  • Chris

    Volunteer: Chris

My name is Chris. I'm studying psychology and am passionate about mental health and wellbeing.

As a neurodivergent individual, I am interested in practices like yoga, mindfulness, and fostering connection through community.

In a world that's changing faster than ever, I believe we need to rediscover what it means to be human and nurture it to create a more inclusive and equitable future.

  • Janani

    Volunteer: Janani

My name is Janani Palanikumar (Jan) and I am studying my Masters in Business Administration.

I have experienced distressing issues in the past and was not able to express my concerns to anyone. That experience was challenging and I felt isolated and stranded. One should express their concern and get the troubles out of their mind, instead of bearing all the burden by themselves.

Hence, by being a part of this amazing family, I would like to give a shoulder to those experiencing distressing events, and help them recover and tackle those odds to become a proud individual.

  • Lavanya

    Volunteer: Lavanya

Hi, I’m Lavanya! I’m in my final year of a Bachelor of Information Technology, specialising in Cybersecurity.

Moving to Australia three years ago was a big transition, and it made me realise just how important mental wellbeing is when navigating life away from home. I’m passionate about creating a supportive space where students feel heard, valued, and empowered.

I’m also deeply committed to women’s empowerment, and the roles I take on reflect that. Whether it’s through advocacy, leadership, or fostering inclusivity, I strive to uplift and support women in every space I’m part of. 💙

I am passionate about wellbeing because I believe that it is the central indicator of our daily lives, functions, and activities. I am also highly interested in the influence of biology towards psychological processes.

In my free time, I enjoy going to cafes with a book, and doing comic illustrations.

  • Mia

    Volunteer: Mia

Hey, I’m Mia! I’m in my third year of a Bachelor of Psychology (Advanced) (Honours).

Having moved here from Germany, I know how challenging and overwhelming it can be to adjust to a new place and how much it can help to have a welcoming and supportive community around you.

As part of the Student Wellbeing Advisory Group, I hope to spread awareness about the health and wellbeing support that the University offers, as well as create an environment where student feel included and connected.

Outside of my studies, you’ll probably find me on the volleyball court (come and join AUVC), at the beach, or lost in a book.

I can’t wait to meet all of you :)
