Mental Health Month

Recognised across Australia each October, Mental Health Month encourages conversations and actions that support our wellbeing and the wellbeing of those around us.

This year鈥檚 Mental Health Awareness Month reminds us that mental health is not a fixed state but a process, where progress can be non-linear and small actions make a big impact. Building on last year鈥檚 theme of Discovering Resilience, the 2025 theme, Your Wellbeing, Your Way, to invite students to take active, meaningful steps to strengthen their mental health in everyday life.

Through our Mental Health Month events and initiatives, we strive to create a supportive university community where everyone feels valued, empowered, and equipped to achieve their personal and academic goals.

Free Mental Health First Aid

Mental Health First Aid training is free for all staff and students. The course teaches people how to offer support to adults experiencing a mental health challenge.
