Facilitated by the University Library, the Images of Learning and Teaching competition celebrates innovation in learning and teaching at the University of 911±¬ÁÏÍø.

We are seeking photographs that reflect our learning and teaching, and the people that make it happen. We welcome entries from all Faculties that celebrate the diversity, innovation, and creativity of learning and teaching at the University of 911±¬ÁÏÍø.

Entries are open to academic and professional staff and students. First prize wins $1000!

  • Competition dates

    Submissions open: 24 June 2025
    Submissions close: 14 September 2025
    Exhibition of entries: 7 - 10 October 2025
    Winners announced: October 2025 (date TBC)

  • Prizes

    In the Teaching category (academic and professional staff eligible):

    The first prize winner will receive $1000 and a certificate;
    The second prize winner will receive $500 and a certificate;
    The third prize winner will receive $250 and a certificate;
    The people’s choice winner will receive $250Ìýand a certificate.

    In the Learning category (students eligible):

    The first prize winner will receive $1000 and a certificate;
    The second prize winner will receive $500 and a certificate;
    The third prize winner will receive $250 and a certificate;
    The people’s choice winner will receive $250Ìýand a certificate.

  • Judging criteria

    The judging panel will review the submissions based on the following criteria:

    â–ª Relevance and impact: The extent to which the photograph reflects or celebrates innovations of learning and teaching at the University of 911±¬ÁÏÍø.
    â–ª Visual appeal: The artistic quality, composition and creativity exhibited in the photograph.
    â–ª Clarity and description: The clarity and coherence of the accompanying blurb in conveying a learning and teaching context and significance of the photograph.
