HLTH SC 3017 - Assisted Reproductive Technology - Research Integrated Learning

North Terrace Campus - Semester 2 - 2025

This course provides students with the opportunity to combine workplace experience with academic study through a Semester-long research placement related to Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART). Students will learn a full range of methodologies that are standard in an IVF clinic, including gamete purification and embryo manipulations. They will apply their problem solving, teamwork, communication, and critical reflection skills, to analyse, interpret and communicate the findings of a small research project conducted under supervision of the ART-RIL team. The ART-RIL experience will be supported by a range of online research skills competencies, practical training sessions, online lectures and professional development opportunities. Students must have a GPA greater or equal to 5.5 across the program, unless extenuating circumstances are justified to the course co-ordinators.
